Accuracy of respiratory muscle assessment methods for predicting weaning success—part 1 of 2. Figure depicts the individual sensitivity and specificity of each study on the respiratory assessment method of interest for predicting weaning success. Condition: Indicates whether the assessment was performed while the patients was mechanically ventilated (MV) or during spontaneous breathing/spontaneous breathing trial (SBT). If no or insufficient data was provided on the condition it is marked as not reported (NR). Risk of bias: Studies that were identified as having a high risk of bias on one of the domains of the QUADAS 2 tool were indicated as high risk of bias (High). Studies which had no domain in which a potential high risk of bias was identified were indicated as low risk of bias (Low).
