  1. Phenotype S consisted of patients who only had SOFA without fulfilling SIRS or qSOFA criteria. Phenotype SS consisted of those who fulfilled both SOFA and SIRS criteria but had qSOFA < 2. Phenotype SqS consisted of patients with sepsis who fulfilled both SOFA and qSOFA criteria but had SIRS < 2. Those who met the thresholds for all three scores were included in the SSqS phenotype. Values are expressed as median and interquartile range unless otherwise specified
