Two-tier muscle strength assessment (2T-MSA) : MRC sum score (MRCss) should be assessed as soon as the patient awakens and at ICU discharge. Handgrip dynamometry (HGD) can be used during the ICU stay as a quick screening tool. A: ICU admission; B: patient cooperative; C: ICU discharge. D: persisting weakness.
