Heatmap metabolite plots show the metabolite alterations at day 1 and day 4 of the most differentiating metabolites to predict unfavorable and favorable outcomes at 3 months using DI/LC–MS/MS and 1H-NMR. The figure reveals the changes in metabolites for day 1 or day 4 used to prognosticate GOSE outcome at 3 months with increased changes seen in metabolites from day 1 to day 4 among patients with unfavorable outcomes. The heatmap key shows the normalized and transformed concentration for each metabolite.
