TWM time weighted mean, PAW airway pressure, BE base excess, FiO2 fraction of inspired oxygen. Values are median with interquartile ranges (IQR). Patients exposed to hyper- and hypoxemia are also included in the separate hyperoxemia and hypoxemia exposure groups. T measuring time point in hours after inclusion into the TTM trial, T-1 first blood gas analysis after admission but before inclusion
