Graphs depict the significant positive correlation between plasma endozepine levels and Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II (APACHE II) scores in patients with inflammation (a) and between plasma endozepine levels and plasma tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) in patients with inflammation (b). Correlation coefficients are Spearman’s coefficients (r s) with 95% confidence intervals. The results are presented as Log2 ratios. DBI-LI, Diazepam-binding inhibitor–like immunoreactivity.
