picuBOOK: An interactive multilingual textbook for pediatricians

Overview

picuBOOK is an interactive multilingual text book aimed at the pediatric intensive care community. It is constantly being updated, with new sections being incorporated on a regular basis. There are two additions for May; inflicted head injury and mechanical ventilation in asthma. This would appear to be a very useful resource.

Content

There are, in addition, a wide range of resources available from this site. They include:

• 1) A literature review section.

• 2) A number of evidence based medicine (EBM) resources, including a Word%20template that performs various clinical epidemiology calculations.

• 3) Javascript medical%20calculators.

• 4) A selection of Microsoft Access (database) templates for tracking patients and assessing treatment options.

• 5) A well organised list of web links.

This site is well organised and is high on content. It is worth visiting if you specialise in pediatrics.
