Inflammatory parameters in the three groups ( n = 10 per group). Administration of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) resulted in a marked increase in pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines. Data are expressed as median [nterquartile range]) and were analyzed with one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The probability values refer to the significant increase in circulating cytokines for each group, as analyzed with repeated measures ANOVA. There was no significant difference between groups.
