Comparative effects of etomidate, s(+)-ketamine, midazolam, propofol, and methohexitone on heart rate in rat isolated septic hearts. All drugs except etomidate decreased chronotropic effects. For control values, only the first (CTRL) and the washout (WASH) periods are displayed.
