Two cytokines were significantly different between patients with no inhalation injury and those with an inhalation injury, namely interleukin (IL)-7 and IL-12p70. (a) IL-7 was significantly increased in the group with no inhalation injury compared to the inhalation injury group. Normal IL-7: 3.8 ± 0.63 pg/ml. (b) IL-12p70 was significantly decreased in the group with no inhalation injury compared to the inhalation injury group.
