Significant elevation of conjugates of endothelial-derived microparticles and platelets (EMP-PC) in resuscitated patients (cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR); black bars) compared with control patients with cardiac cause of hospital admission (Control; grey bars) and healthy subjects (Healthy; white bars) immediately after return of spontaneous circulation (left). As values decline to levels comparable with the cardiac control group 24 hours after return of spontaneous circulation (right), there is a persistent significant elevation compared with healthy subjects.
