Expression of cytokine-induced neutrophil chemoattractant (CINC-1) and IL-1β proteins. Expression of CINC-1 and IL-1β proteins of the two ventilatory groups are exhibited: Group 1: Tidal volume (VT) = 10 ml/kg and positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) = 3 cmH2O (VT10/PEEP3). Group 2: VT = 20 ml/kg and PEEP = 0 cmH2O (VT20/zero end-exiratory (ZEEP)). AT, PeriAT and C represent atelectatic, peri-atelectasis and contralateral lung regions, respectively. Healthy corresponds to the non-ventilated control animals. Data are expressed as medians and ranges.
