NF-κB decoy oligodeoxynucleotides prevent acute lung injury in mice with cecal ligation and puncture-induced sepsis. The animals were subjected to sham operation (control), sepsis (10 hours after cecal ligation and puncture (CLP)), sepsis with the NF-κB pharmacologic inhibitor FR260330, and sepsis with transfection of NF-κB decoy or its scrambled form. Transpulmonary flux of radiolabeled albumin was used to assess changes in lung permeability. ***P <0.001 compared with the sham-operated control group. ###P <0.001 compared with the CLP group without treatment.
