Plasma is continuously filtered from the patient’s extracorporeal blood circuit and transferred into a closed-loop ‘cell circuit’ (CC), where the plasma is brought into direct contact with therapeutically effective, human-donor immune cells (i.e. the purified granulocyte concentrate pGC).
