Predictors of hospital and 6-month survival. Logistic regression analysis of factor associated with hospital survival and with 6-month survival (6-month survival of primary hospital survivors—landmark analysis). Age, lung fibrosis, liver cirrhosis and immunosuppression were independent predictors for increased hospital mortality, while proof of bacterial infection was a predictor for increased survival. In the landmark analysis only the ECMO duration was an independent predictor for increased mortality. ECMO: extracorporeal membrane oxygenation; LTOT: long-term oxygen therapy; MV: mechanical ventilation.
