Variables included in regression were age, BMI, serum lactate at onset, vasopressor support (yes/no during stay in the ICU), mechanical ventilation (yes/no during stay in the ICU), renal replacement therapy (yes/no during stay in the ICU), feeding intolerance (yes/no during the first week), intra-abdominal pressure (highest value recorded during the first week), SOFA score (highest value recorded during the first week), and AGIUS score (highest value recorded during the first week)
