Real-time 3D left ventricular (LV) volume estimation with transthoracic echocardiography. The 3D LV volume is displayed (opaque green structure) with ‘cut planes’ provided in the short axis as well as four-, two- and three-chamber views. Semi-automated software estimates the endocardial border (green line) and its movement throughout the cardiac cycle.
