  2. Outcomes of ICU patients with suspected infection and index ED visit within 72 hours of ICU admission, categorized by initial disposition destination. The χ2 test was used to compare categorical variables. The Kruskal-Wallis test was used to compare median values between groups, and resultant P values are listed. Pairwise comparisons were performed using the Mann-Whitney U test
