Correlation between monocyte toll-like receptor (TLR) expression and markers of ischemia. There was statistically significant positive correlation between serum lactate and monocyte TLR2 mRNA expression in the first 12 h after cardiac arrest (cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) t1: n = 30; r s = 0.570, p = 0.001) (a). Monocyte TLR4 mRNA levels in the first 12 h after CPR (CPR t1: n = 30) were positively correlated with the estimated time from the patient’s collapse until return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) (r s = 0.516, p = 0.003) (b).
