  1. After six hours of mechanical ventilation of simvastatin (6 h Vent. + Simva) or sham treated mice (6 h Vent.) urine output was assed and electrolyte, blood gas, lactate, Cystatin C and ALT analysis was performed from arterial blood or plasma respectively. Systemic mean arterial blood pressure (MAP) was measured continuously.
