  1. Twenty-four hours after induction of sepsis by cecal ligation and puncture and sham procedure, respectively. None of these parameters were significantly altered by sepsis or sepsis + thoracic epidural anesthesia (TEA). Data (n = 7) each group are displayed as mean ± 95% confidence interval (CI) or median (25%/75% percentile).
