  1. Heart rate (HR) was determined using limb lead echocardiography pads during echocardiogram, while left ventricular end diastolic volume (LVEDV) was determined using echocardiography. No significant differences in HR or LVEDV exist between groups infused with saline (n = 9), dobutamine (n = 6), or vasopressin (n = 14). Results are present as means ± standard error of the mean. I/R = ischemia/reperfusion.
