  1. There were no statistical differences between groups for systolic blood pressure. In the lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-exposed groups the heart rate was statistically higher, but there were no statistical differences between the high-molecular-weight hyaluronan (HMW HA) treatment groups. LPS + 0.1% sodium carboxymethyl cellulose was statistically higher than LPS + 0.1% HMW HA. *P < 0.01 versus control. P < 0.01 versus LPS + 0.1% HMW HA.
