Change in body composition from admission to discharge. Children with >80% total body surface area (TBSA) burn lost the most body weight, lean body mass and bone mineral content compared with the other groups. The 60–79% TBSA burn group showed a significant loss in body weight, lean body mass and bone mineral content that was significant compared with the <40% and 40–59% TBSA groups.
