Two-dimensional echocardiography in both cases revealed a large ventricular septal defect ((A) and (B), arrow). Color Doppler mapping confirmed the presence of a large left-to-right shunt ((C) and (D), arrow). The patient underwent immediate surgical repair, which confirmed the diagnosis.
