Median (boxplots) seriated values of presepsin and procalcitonin (PCT) in 42 patients with sepsis and severe sepsis/septic shock at time 0 (T0), T1 and T2. 95% CIs are reported. Presepsin displayed highest concentration at T0 (P = 0.0444) compared to T1 and T2.
