Frequency of antibiotic therapy in relation to positive results obtained from different types of body sites, evaluated before and after antibiotic stewardship program (ASP) implementation. The ASP consisted of a series of education, consultation, and reinforcement methods and was able to successfully reduce the use of antibiotics for patients with positive cultures from non-sterile sites and increase the use of antibiotics for positive cultures from sterile sites.
