Anemia was induced using tetrastarch (TS-group, Hbcrit 2.1 ± 0.4 g/dL), gelatin (GEL-group, Hbcrit 2.7 ± 0.6 g/dL), hetastarch (HS-group, Hbcrit 3.0 ± 0.6 g/dL) or Ringer's solution (RS-group, Hbcrit 3.7 ± 0.6 g/dL). *P < 0.05 vs. GEL, #P < 0.05 vs. HS, §P < 0.05 vs. RS.
