Independent variables in the multivariate analysis included TT3, TT4, FT3, FT4, rT3, TSH, T3/rT3, Log(NT-proBNP), Log(CRP), APACHE II score and albumin (and age, eGFR and hemoglobin). Variables not listed in the table were removed from the stepwise analysis.
