Overview

The site offers you the opportunity to select a health care topic from the following list: drugs and medication; heart disease; women's health; travel health; nutrition; exercise; cancer; lifestyle; asthma and ageing. Each of the topics offers a list of relevant reviews, a list of associated website links and a forum where you can discuss related issues with VistaLink physicians and members. The reviews are rather like news reports in that they alert the reader to recent research in the related field, with a short précis on the results of the research. The site also offers other public services, one of which is 'travel medicine'. This service aims to provide travellers with ready access to physicians and hospitals throughout the world. Another service on offer is the 'medical consultations' service. This allows physicians from other countries to get secondary medical opinions from experts via affiliated hospitals in the US and Europe. Hospitals involved in this service include University College in London, The University of Texas Health Science Centers at Houston and the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA. Prices for this service range from $350-$900.

Content

The lists of articles are rather limited, consisting of between two and ten per topic. However, all the recent developments are covered. The site is quite small and very simple to navigate, with clear information about the website.
